    Key Takeaways

    • Bitcoin’s price rose 26% higher in 30 days, bringing newly found bullishness back to the bitcoin market.
    • Wall Street research firm Bernstein sees bitcoin hitting $125K later this year, while gold bug and economist Peter Schiff still expects a fall toward $10K, and eventually zero.
    • CIO and founder of MN Fund, Michaël van de Poppe, can envision $90K within reach, but also says a 20–40% pullback could still happen in Sept. and Oct.

Market data shows that over the last seven days, bitcoin’s price has exchanged hands for $76,962 to $81,281 per unit. 30-day metrics show that BTC has risen around 26% against the U.S. dollar, with August closing out in the green.

With positive thoughts pushing through the month prior’s despair, several analysts, market strategists, influencers, key opinion leaders, venture capitalists, and more have shared their bitcoin price predictions over the last two weeks.

    Bernstein

Bitcoin.com News recently reported on the Wall Street research firm Bernstein, which shared a note earlier last week that gave a number of BTC forecasts. Bernstein lead analyst Gautam Chhugani envisions bitcoin’s price reaching $125,000 by the year’s end. Chhugani also sees $150,000 BTC prices by mid-2027 and a possible top near the $300,000 zone. The Bernstein call is not a vibe prediction as it is based on a cycle model, a mining cost multiple, and a macro “debasement” trade outlook.

    Standard Chartered

Not too long before the Bernstein prediction, on Aug. 21, 2026, Standard Chartered’s lead analyst, Geoff Kendrick, shared a note that $100K in 2026 is still plausible. “For the first time this year, there is now a risk my end year forecast (of USD100k) is too low,” Kendrick also detailed in his prediction. The Standard Chartered market strategist also thinks that bitcoin’s price could test the October 2025 high just above $126,000.

    BitMEX Co-Founder Arthur Hayes

Bitcoin bull Arthur Hayes is very bullish. During a discussion with Anthony Pompliano on Aug. 26, Hayes said that a year-end price of $126,000 is not out of the question and $250,000 is in the cards because governments will “print early and print often.” Hayes’ BTC outlook has always been bullish, but the latest U.S. Treasury buyback plan seems to have fueled his positivity.

    Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong

Bitcoin.com News recently reported on Armstrong taking a step down from his previous $1 million per BTC price call. But on Aug. 20, during a Fox Business interview, the Coinbase boss said it’s “very likely” bitcoin will hit $300,000 to $400,000 per unit by 2030. The Fox Business interview suggests that Armstrong’s prediction is based on the possibility of Clarity Act momentum and broader institutional market effects.

Gold Proponent and Economist Peter Schiff

Peter Schiff has been saying for years that bitcoin will be headed back toward $10,000 per coin and eventually to zero someday. Of course, this has never come to fruition, but Schiff is still calling out bitcoin in 2026. A few days ago, he said bitcoin’s price rally would be temporary. “Not sure what’s behind today’s sharp MSTR rally, though I suspect short-covering has a lot to do with it. Nonetheless, I stand by my ‘death spiral’ thesis, even if Strategy’s life expectancy has been extended a bit by the temporary bitcoin rally,” Schiff stated on X.

Dutch Crypto Analyst Michaël van de Poppe

CIO and founder of MN Fund, Michaël van de Poppe, explained on X this week that bitcoin could possibly reach $90,000, but he would not rule out a bull market correction. “I think that we’ll also see a push of bitcoin to at least $82,700, perhaps even $90,000,” he wrote on X on Aug. 27. “Does that rule out a heavy correction in September/October? Definitely not. A standard 20-40% correction does happen in a bull market.” The analyst noted that a consolidated trend could happen for “2-4 months before we’ll break towards all-time highs” in another X post.

Bloomberg Intelligence Senior Commodity Strategist Mike McGlone

Mike McGlone believes that bitcoin’s price will drop to $10,000 per coin, and he’s been saying that quite often during BTC’s bear market. McGlone has been a bit quieter lately after stating on Aug. 13 that his “analysis points to downside risk toward $10,000 unless bitcoin can sustain a move above $69,000.” Which it did. Three days later, McGlone said, “Bitcoin showing comfort below $69,000, despite the record-setting stock market, may signal continued reversion toward $10,000.”

Siebert Financial Senior Portfolio Manager Brian Vieten

In a note shared with Bitcoin.com News on Tuesday, Brian Vieten, senior portfolio manager at Siebert Financial, offered a very optimistic forecast. Siebert noted that he believes bitcoin could reach $175,000 in 2027. Basically, Vieten thinks bitcoin entered a new price cycle after the June 30 low, and with the latest rally, he does not expect the typical 80% drawdowns seen in previous bear markets. “Looking ahead, we think the GENIUS Act’s expected early 2027 implementation marks the next major adoption catalyst,” Vieten explained.

The lesson here is that bitcoin’s price in the future has always been difficult to pin down, and while some have made solid predictions, many have not, no matter how confident anyone sounds. Bitcoin price predictions can be useful for understanding people’s expectations, but they should never be mistaken for certainty, especially in the crazy world of crypto assets and bitcoin. What we know for sure is that the leading crypto asset will likely continue surprising both bullish supporters and bearish critics, making patience and independent judgment especially important.
